Tasted single blind at Southwold. Good ripeness on the nose, blackberry, kirsch, plum and a touch of cassis. Nice definition, quite elegant and refined. A lot of extraction on the palate, very tannic and really coats the mouth. Huge grip. Layers of toasty black fruit. Perhaps over-oaked and over-done. This could have great potential if the fruit does not dry out - but that is the $64K question. Drink 2012-2020. Tasted January 2009.
