"Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting, the 2014 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru from Jacques Carillon demonstrated a little more oak on the nose compared to the other three alongside. However, it is neatly sutured into the citrus fruit with hints of white peach emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with vibrant acidity and superb saline notes that really flourish toward the finish, not unlike some of the 2014 Les Caillerets tasted in a previous flight. This has immense potential. Très grand cru and très bienvenue."
