Served blind at the Southwold 2009 tasting. The l'Arrosee has fine purity on the nose with dark cherries, boysenberry jam and dark plum, the oak nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with a rather severe, slightly astringent entry and a brisk, dense, punchy finish. It improves in the glass, coalescing and becoming more refined and I duly had to raise my score. Tasted January 2013.
