Tasted blind at Flint Wines' 2007/2012 Nuits Saint-Georges tasting in London. The 2012 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers does not quite have the purity of Hudelot-Noëllat's Aux Murgers on the nose, although the fruit is quite intense, redcurrant, cranberry and blackberry infused with rose petal and iris notes. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe red berry fruit, lovely chalky tannin and great tension, one of the most energetic 2012 Nuits Saint Georges, conveying a persistent and unapologetically sensual finish. It oozes class. Tasted November 2016.
