The 2006 Barolo shows gorgeous purity in its bright red fruit, spices and licorice. This is an especially juicy, generous Barolo among the more traditionally made wines of the vintage. Once again, Alessandria's straight Barolo is a huge overachiever among its peers. Though delicious, and frankly irresistible today, this has enough density to suggest it will be even better in a few years' time. It is impressive juice. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020.
