"Deep garnet colored, the 2008 Clos de Sarpe has a nose that is wonderfully ripe and decadent with baked plums, kirsch and Black Forest cake notions over hints of star anise, incense, char-grilled meats and unsmoked cigar. Medium-bodied with incredible freshness and minerality coming through on the palate, it features wonderful red fruit accents and spicy sparks in the mouth with a long, mineral-laced finish."
