Tasted ex-chateau and single blind in Southwold. The Moulin Riche 2008 has decent fruit concentration on the nose, with slightly over-ripe blackberry intermingling with tinned prune in the background, but not too much to worry about. The palate is medium-bodied and very sweet. This is a glossy Saint Julien that lacks a little backbone and flirts with being cloying on the finish. A pretty wine, but not cerebral. Tasted January 2012.
