The oak stands out a little on the youthful nose of the 2011 Les Beaux Cailloux Chardonnay before revealing notes of apricots, grapefruit, ginger and toast with a hint of almonds. Medium-bodied, the palate gives a good amount of flavor layers suggestive of the nose and has a pleasant silkiness to the texture, plus a long finish. Approachable now, it should drink to 2017+.
