This is a blend of 80% Nebbiolo, 10% Vespolina and 10% Croatina. The 2013 Bramaterra is a savory and leathery expression with other aromas that remind you of the wine's aging trajectory. What struck me about this wine is that it has a slightly wild or untamed side. You don't usually see this with Nebbiolo, a grape that tends to play its cards much closer to the chest. The wine is short and firm in terms of mouthfeel, with a firm tannin bite at the end, thanks to the slightly cooler vintage.
