Estate Information
  • Vineyards: 50ha Pinot Noir, 10ha Chardonnay
  • History: Since 1859 The Hospice has been holding yearly auctions for their wine, carrying on the charitable traditions which have been in place since 1443- Bourgandians would often donate vineyards to the hospice, as wine was seen to be an important medicine.
General Wine Information
  • Vine Age: around 34 years
  • L’elevage: between 12-24 months
  • Barrel: until 2005 100% new oak barrels were used. From 2012, barrels have been chosen for their extra fine tight grains.
  • Vinification: in 456/ 600l oak hogsheads (queueus) for some 1er and Grand Crus
